Current Obsession

I have been neglecting my quilts (two in progress) and my rug hooking (several are in the works) because I am in love with the process of torch firing enameling copper and iron beads and finding the best ways to use them in jewelry. When I have made something I like, I wear it around to see how it holds up. I have seen that necklaces and earrings do better than bracelets so far. I have a great group of women I see every Friday night at 'stitch and bitch', and they give me honest feedback and design ideas. I know it is good when one of them says,"I want this one. How much?" I want to upload some images, once I figure out how to do it on the iPad. That's what is on my mind these days. A very dear friend told me she keeps a gratitude journal. I want this blog to be that for me. Today I am grateful for my job, the income from which makes possible this amazingly comfortable and abundant life.
